The autoshift function enables the transmission to automatically shift through speeds F10 through F16.

The autoshift function is engaged by pressing AUTO switch (1), that is located to the right of the transmission control lever. The autoshift function will only engage while you are moving in F10 through F16 at engine speeds of at least 1200 rpm.

When the autoshift function is engaged, the central display will show an "A" (2). The "A" indicates that the autoshift function has been selected. The "A" will be followed by selected speed (3) .

The autoshift function will automatically select higher speeds at preselected engine speeds of 1800 rpm to 2200 rpm. The autoshift function will select lower speeds when the engine speed drops below the range of 1550 rpm to 2000 rpm. The following illustration indicates the relative rpm ranges for each speed.

In order to disengage the autoshift function, press the "AUTO" switch or use the transmission control lever in order to shift. Also, depressing the inching clutch control will disengage the autoshift function except when you are in tenth speed.
