Description of Change: A strap was added to the steering control group to retain the torsion spring that returns the steering control to the neutral position.
Adaptable To: The new 141-8993 Strap is effective with 65C Challenger (2ZJ2375), 75D (5AR303), and 85D (4GR424) Agricultural Tractors.
The new strap is adaptable to earlier Challenger 65C , 75D, and 85D Agricultural Tractors.
The new strap is adaptable to first production for Challenger 7OC, 75C, and 85C Agricultural Tractors.
141-8993 Strap (1) is attached at one end by bolt (K), used to fasten plate assembly (C) to body assembly (G).
NOTE: Radius (H) contacts pin (D) welded to plate assembly (C) to prevent torsion spring (B) from coming loose from pin (D) and pin (F) in lever assembly (E).
