Service Magazine SEPD0374, Article 16, Page 13, August 18, 1997; "Improved Elbow Design For Draining Oil Filters" .
The chart on page 13, "Effectivity Chart For The 123-6884 Oil Filter Group", should be changed to include the Reman Engines. The chart should read as follows:
--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
Description of Change: An improved oil filter group replaced the former oil filter group in the above machines powered by 3516 Engines. The improved oil filter group contains an elbow with a design that allows better serviceability of the Separate Circuit Aftercooled (SCAC) Water Pump. The improved elbow requires a different method to drain oil out of the filter base before servicing the oil filters.
Adaptable To: The 123-6884 Oil Filter Group replaced the former 9Y-8901 Oil Filter Group. The 123-6981 Elbow replaces the former 7E-8414 Elbow. The 9S-9271 Male Coupler and the 9S-9272 Cap Assembly are no longer used. See the Illustrations for component views. See the chart for effectivity.
