Hydraulic Tank Breather Location Change Affects Tank Filling Procedure{5056}

Usage:

CP-323 (6JD253-Up),
CS-323 (1TM) Vibratory Compactors

Reference: Operation and Maintenance Manual; CS-323 and CP-323 Vibratory Compactors; KEBU4920; Hydraulic Tank Oil; Page 85.

Description of Change: The location of the hydraulic tank breather was changed from the top of the tank to the side of the tank, under the operator's seat.

On machines with the breather located under the operator's seat, the oil in the hydraulic tank should be kept to a level different than indicated in the Operation and Maintenance Manual. The oil in the hydraulic tank should be maintained at a level 25 mm (1 in) above the bottom of the inlet strainer. Filling the tank to a higher level can cause oil to leak from the breather.

Adaptable To: The breather was located beneath the operator's seat on machines CP-323 (6JD253-Up) and CS-323 (1TM1-Up) Vibratory Compactors. Previous machines cannot be updated to locate the breather beneath the operator's seat.

Old Breather Location (6JD1-252) On Right Side Of Machine (1) Hydraulic oil fill cap. (2) Breather.

New Breather Location (6JD253-Up, 1TM1-Up) Beneath Seat (3) Seat support, right side. (4) Breather.
