Pump Conversion Required for Replacement of Water Spray Pump{5612}

Usage:

CB-414 (6KD1-Up),
Bros VM255 (6015-6042) Vibratory Compactors

A new water spray pump is now available. Some rework is required for installation of the new pump. Follow the procedure below to install the new pump using the parts listed in the chart.

The new 115-1914 Water Pump Group replaces the former 7X-5628 Electric Water Pump, the former pump is no longer available. If the old pump must be replaced, use a new 115-1914 Water Pump Group. The new 115-1914 Water Pump Group is adaptable to the CB-414 and Bros VM255 Vibratory Compactors listed above by following the rework procedure below.

Rework Procedure

1. Disconnect both battery cables from the battery.

2. Weld plate assembly (1), block (19), and link (9) to the machine frame as shown in Illustrations 1, 2, and 3.

3. Remove supply line (L) from the inlet port of existing pump (K). Allow the end of supply line (L) to hang in the tank for use as a suction line for the new pump.

NOTE: Existing pump (K) can either be discarded or left in place.

4. Remove and discard the existing elbow and adapter which are installed in fitting (H). Install a new bushing (2) and elbow (3) to fitting (H).

5. Remove and discard the connector at existing control valves (M) and (N). Install new adapters (5) and bushings (2) to front and rear valves (M) and (N).

6. Install new pump (23) to plate (1) using the hardware shown.

7. Install fitting (15) to plate (19) using the hardware shown.

8. Fasten strainer assembly (7) to link (9) using clamp (8).

NOTE: It will be necessary to separate the strap portion of clamp (8) from the worm drive in order to feed the strap through link (9).

9. Install the water lines using tube (4) and hardware shown. It will be necessary to cut tube (4) into the necessary lengths for installation. Secure tube (4) to the existing water lines using cable straps (21).

10. Remove the white wire marked "73" from the water spray switch and install the red wire marked "73" from harness assembly (24).

11. Attach the black wire marked "200" to a suitable grounding location on the frame.

12. Connect harness (24) to the lead on pump assembly (23).

13. Secure harness assembly (24) using cable straps (22).

14. Connect the battery cables to the battery.

NOTE: These machines have an electrical system with a negative ground. Be sure to connect the ground cable to the negative (marked "-") terminal of the battery.

15. Turn on the water spray system to check for leaks and correct operation.
