Bolt Dampers Have Been Added To The No.5 Clutch Stack In The 6Y-5642 Planetary Group {3155,3169}

Usage:

793B (1HL) Trucks

Description of Change: Seventeen dampers are now used in the 8E-5624 Clutch Housing Assembly (No. 5 clutch housing). These dampers are in addition to those used in the 8E-5628 Clutch Housing Assembly (No.6 clutch housing).

The additional dampers will stiffen the bolts and prevent bolt failure due to fatigue caused by resonance during machine operation.

Adaptable To: The 6I-9790 Dampers are in production with transmission Serial Number 6LE897 in 793B Trucks (1HL) and can be installed in earlier 793 and 793B Trucks using the following method.
