A service technician can check to see if the rear suspension cylinders are properly charged by measuring the distance between the centerline of the pins that hold the cylinder in place. The measurement should be made with an empty body and the machine parked on a level surface.

The dimension for 769C Trucks and 771C Quarry Truck rear suspension cylinders that are properly charged is 910.0 ± 6.5 mm (35.83 ± .25 in).
