Spacer Plate Is Available To Make Installation Of Permanent Hose Couplings Easier {0684,5057}

When using the hydraulic hose press to install permanent hose couplings, the 4C-8735 Sleeve can come in contact with the movable bolster on the press. This will cause the pins which hold the 4C-8735 Sleeve to fail.

A 1U-9648 Plate (spacer plate) can be added to the existing 8T-5119 (part of the 8T-5120 Tool Group used with the 7S-1100 Press Arrangement) or 8T-5122 Pusher (part of the 8T-5130 Tool Group used with the 6V-4900 Press Arrangement or 4C-9900 Press Group). The 1U-9648 Plate will provide increased clearance when using the press and will keep the movable bolster from coming in contact with the 4C-8735 Sleeve.

Install the 1U-9648 Plate between the two existing parts of the pusher as shown in the illustration. Longer bolts are required when using the 1U-9648 Plate. Use 2H-3764 Bolts with the 8T-5119 Pusher and 5L-9018 Bolts with the 8T-5122 Pusher.
