Description of Change: The lower radiator hose clamps have been replaced. This only affects the lower hose and the respective two hose clamps. Changing these clamps allows easier tightening. The upper hose is still retained with two 9M-0164 Clamps.
Adaptable To: The new 2J-6540 Clamp is a direct replacement for the former 9M-0164 Clamp. The new clamp is effective with 416B (8SG2758, 8ZK989), 426B (5YJ746), 436B (6MJ377), 428B (7EJ1110), 438B (3KK607) Backhoe Loaders, and is adaptable to earlier naturally aspirated machines.
NOTE: The torque specification on the lower hose clamps has also changed to 7.5 ± 0.5 N · m (5.0 ± .4 lb ft).
