New Longer Fan Adapter Used On Replacement Engine {1359,1356}

Usage:

D25C (9YC),
D25D (1HK),
D30C (05A, 7ZC),
D35C (2GD),
D300B (4SD),
D350C (8XC) Articulated Trucks

The 7C-7046 Basic Engine Arrangement for the 3306 (13Z) Machine Engine used in the above articulated trucks has been changed. Change 08 of this arrangement includes a new 33 mm (1.3 in) longer 7E-0948 Fan Adapter.

If a 7C-7046, Change Level 08 Basic Engine Arrangement is used to replace a 7C-7046, Change Level 07 or earlier Basic Engine Arrangement in all of the above articulated trucks EXCEPT the D300B, the 33 mm (1.3 in) thick 7U-0364 Spacer must be removed from the fan before the fan is installed on the 7E-0948 Fan Adapter. This will provide the correct fan to radiator relationship. Use six 8T-4896 Washers from the engine being replaced and six new 9B-7237 Bolts [31.8 mm (1.25 in) long] to install the fan directly on the 7E-0948 Fan Adapter.

If a 7C-7046, Change Level 08 Basic Engine Arrangement is used to replace a 7C-7046, Change Level 07 or earlier Basic Engine Arrangement in a D300B Articulated Truck, remove the 7E-0948 Fan Adapter from the new arrangement and replace it with the 3N-7402 Fan Hub from the engine being replaced. Then install the fan on the 3N-7402 Fan Hub using the bolts, washers and 65 mm (2.6 in) thick 4U-4869 Spacer from the engine being replaced.
