Usage:

Do not disconnect the air line from the tandem, the air pressure is zero. Failure to remove the air before the lines are disconnected can result in personal injury. |

1. Disconnect air line (1) from the elbow.
2. Install tooling (A) and a hoist to the tandem housing assembly.
3. Remove bolts (2) and the washers that fasten the tandem housing (3) to the final drive housing.
4. Move the tandem housing away from the final drive housing. The weight of the tandem housing is 1497 kg (3300 lb.).
5. Remove seal (4) from the outer housing.
Install Tandem Housings
1. Install seal (1) on housing.
2. Install tooling (A) and hoist in position on the tandem housing. Put tandem housing (2) in position and install bolts (3). Tighten bolts to a torque of 475 ± 20 N·m (350 ± 15 lb.ft.).
3. Remove tooling (A) from the tandem housing.
4. Connect air line (4) to elbow.
