NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3076" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3076" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Problem

The secondary speed timing sensor signal on 3406E Marine Engines is not read by the engine control as operable and needs to be recognized.

Parts Needed

The software files are available from the dealer bulletin board and cannot be ordered through the parts system.

Action Required

Flash program the engine control module with the appropriate flash file software using Electronic Technician (ET) and a 7X1701 Communication Adapter.
