NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI1245" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI1245" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Problem

The existing 1068459 Plug in the housing of the 1050268 Auxiliary Sea Water Pump may need to be replaced on certain 3408 and 3412 Marine Engines. Some plugs may have been made of plain steel instead of stainless steel, which may corrode causing the plug to develop a leak.

1 - 1068459 Plug

Action Required

Remove the existing 1068459 Plug and replace it with a new stainless steel 1068459 Plug.

NOTE: In some applications, this plug may already have been removed and replaced with a fitting for auxiliary equipment. If the plug has already been removed, do not claim for a new plug.
