NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3679" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3679" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

NOTE: Although this Program is to be administered as described above on the Affected Product, parts should be removed from Parts Stock as soon as possible.

Problem

Some SR4 Generators with 7E8261 (240 V), 7E8262 (480 V), or 7E8263 (120 V) Regulators may cause voltage conditions that are too high during start-up on certain 3412, 3508, 3512, 3516, G3508, G3516 Generator Sets.

Affected Product

Remove the existing regulator and install the appropriate new replacement regulator. Follow the procedures in the Service Manual for VR3 Voltage Regulator Permanent Magnet Excited SR4 Generators, SENR3905.
