Metric fasteners are now used by some OEM companies in the assembly of their equipment. Caterpillar uses only U.S. Standard fasteners on its engines. Servicemen that work on OEM equipment must remember that it is possible to find both metric and U.S. Standard fasteners on these products. Make sure the correct tools are used for the fasteners on your machines.
