Description of Change: New discs are used in the No. 4 clutch for the planetary group of the transmission on the above machines. The new disc has a "spiral X" groove design in the friction material and a stronger steel core. This new design will improve the performance of the No. 4 clutch in these transmissions. The former clutch discs had radial grooves in the friction material.
Adaptable As: The new 9P4878 Disc is a direct replacement for the former 8S6325 Disc Assembly in this application. The new disc is in effect on 776 Tractors and 777 Trucks with transmission Serial Number 1XA00803 and on 641B, 651B and 657B Tractors with transmission Serial Number 1H00319.
