Battery Tray Repositioned For Better Clearance{1402,7250,7257}

Usage:


D25D ( 1HK53-Up ),
D30D ( 3AJ61 ),
D350D ( 9RF64-Up)

Description of Change: The battery trays have been repositioned to provide more space for the battery cables when the tray is in the closed position.

Adaptable To: This change is in effect with the machines listed above, and can be incorporated on machines currently in service. No additional parts are needed. Use the following procedure to reposition the battery tray.

1. Lower the front suspension to the service position.

2. Lock the battery tray in the extended position.

3. Refer to illustration 1. Remove the 6U0656 Bars and the battery tray.

4. Drill four new 12.0 mm (.472") diameter holes in the battery tray frame as shown in illustration 2.

5. Install the 6U0656 Bars using the new bolt holes.

6. Slide the battery tray slowly into the closed position and check that the battery cables are clear of the air hoses. If necessary, reposition the battery cables by adjusting the position of the 9M4972 Clips securing the cables to the fender. Refer to illustration 3.
