Usage:
Start By:
a. Remove the axle shafts. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Shaft - Remove and Install" for the machine being serviced.
b. Remove the fixed axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fixed Axle (Front) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
c. Remove the oscillating axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Rear) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
d. Remove the front trunnion support from the oscillating axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Trunnion Support (Oscillating Axle, Front) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
1. Place axle housing assembly (1) on suitable stands with the differential pinion in the UPWARD position.
2. Disconnect four brake hose assemblies (2) from the axle housing assembly.
3. Remove two hose clips (3).
4. Remove twenty bolts (4) and the washers from differential and bevel gear (5).
5. Remove four brake hose assemblies (2) and the bracket from differential and bevel gear (5).
6. Install Tooling (A) on differential and bevel gear (5). Attach a hoist and suitable lifting slings to Tooling (A).
7. Use two bolts (6) to force differential and bevel gear (5) from the axle housing.
8. Use the hoist to carefully remove differential and bevel gear (5) from the axle housing. The weight of the differential and bevel gear is 385 kg (850 lb).
9. Remove O-ring seal (7) from differential and bevel gear (5).
