Circle Reverse Gear Housing

Usage:

Remove Circle Reverse Gear Housing

1. Remove the oil from the housing.

2. Remove the nut (1) that holds the pinion on the bottom of the housing. Remove the gasket.

3. Remove the coupling (3) that connects the two shafts.

4. Remove the bolts and nuts (2) that hold the housing on the drawbar.

5. Remove two bolts from the cover of the gear and install two 3/8"-16NC forged eyebolts.

6. Remove the gear housing with a hoist. Weight is 65 lb. (29,5 kg). Remove the pinion from the bottom of the housing at the same time the housing is being removed.

Install Circle Reverse Gear Housing

1. Install the housing for the circle reverse gear with a hoist.

2. Hold the pinion engaged with the circle while lowering the housing. The dowel makes alignment of the housing with the circle.

3. Install the bolts (1) that hold the housing on the drawbar.

4. Install the gasket, lock and nut (2) that holds the pinion on the shaft.

5. Connect the two shafts with the coupling.

6. Fill the housing with oil. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE.

Disassemble Circle Reverse Gear Housing

start by:

a) remove circle reverse gear housing

1. Remove the cover (1) and cap (2) from the housing.

2. Remove the cotter pin and nut (3).

3. Hit the shaft with a plastic hammer and remove the shaft (4) and seal (5).

4. Remove the sleeve from the housing.

5. Remove the shaft and gear from the housing.

6. Remove the sleeve from the housing.

7. Remove the seal from the bottom of housing.

8. Remove the bearings for the worm shaft with tool setup (A).

Assemble Circle Reverse Gear Housing

1. Install the seal for the worm gear in the bottom of the housing. Install seal with lip toward the gear.

2. Install the shaft in the housing and place the worm gear on the shaft. Install the lock and nut that hold gear on the shaft.

3. Install the bearings and seal for the worm shaft with tool setup (A).

4. Install worm (2) and two thrust washers (1) and (3).

5. Install the keys on worm shaft. Install the sleeve in the housing and the shaft through the worm.

6. Install the nut and cotter pin holding the worm shaft. Install cover (4) and cap (5) on the housing.

7. Fill the housing with oil. See the LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE.
