This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS43485" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7755" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.

The existing wedge style rims lock-ring retention plate interferes with the rim on certain 797B, 797F, and 795F AC Off-Highway Trucks. If the existing retention plate fails, the lock ring could disengage.

Rework the existing 205-9506 Lock Ring into a 369-9996 Lock Ring per the instructions below for wedge style rims only. No action is required on standard rims.

A fixture to rework the lock rings has been shipped to dealers with affected product in their territory. Any dealer with affected product that has not recieved the fixture should contact the 795F AC or 797F Service Engineer through your Field Service Rep".

Submit one claim for all 205-9506 Lock Rings that are reworked from dealer parts stock. (2) 113-2001 Bolts and (1) 351-0301 Retainer plus 0.5 hours of labor will be allowed per lock ring that is reworked.

Rework Procedure

1. Position the lock ring in the fixture. Ensure the ends of the ring are fully inserted into the fixture.
2. Tighten the adjustment screws to prevent the ring from slipping during the machining process. (See Image1.1.2)
3. Drill two 10.5 mm holes to a depth of 15 +3/-0 mm
4. Remove ring from fixture.
5. Bottom tap two M12 holes.
