The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

The LED lights might not work on the EMCP 4.2 control panel due to failure of the internal flexstrip.

Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility.

Use the procedure below to check the status of the controller.

1. Connect to Cat^® Electronic Technician (ET).

2. Select the "Diagnostics" tab.

3. Click "Events" and then on "Active Events" to see if the status of the control is "Automatic" or not.

4. If the control is not in "Automatic", a 4007-31 Generator Control Not in Automatic Warning will be displayed in the event log.
