Description Of Change: The new jacket water elbow and adapter allows better alignment of components and is more robust. This aids in eliminating coolant leaks.

Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

The required parts for On Engine water pump and Off Engine water pump are listed in Table 1 and Table 2.

1. Install plug (2) and O-ring seal (3) to the adapter (1).

   Note: Before assembly of O-ring seal, lubricate the bore with appropriate lubricant.

2. Install elbow (4) along with O-ring (5).

3. Install adapter (1) with gasket (6), full nuts (A), bolts (B), bolts (D), and hard washer (C).

4. The bracket (E) to bracket joint should be left loose. The bolts securing the adapter to the adapter bracket should also be loose before starting. This allows the adapter (1) to move for the next operation.

5. Install gaskets (9) and tighten bolts (8) and bolts (G) with hard washer (C) to flange (H) and elbow (10).

6. Once the tube assembly is secured to the adapter, the adapter is now effectively locked into place. Tighten bolts (D) and bolts (F) with full nuts (A), hard washer (C), and hard washer (7) to brackets (E) and 252-5811 Bracket with slots.
