(8) Transmission main relief valve (9) Transmission control valves |
The transmission lubrication relief valve (7) is in the transmission case underneath a large plug to the left of the transmission relief valve. The transmission lubrication relief valve (7) is held in place by a retaining ring. When the pressure at the inlet for lube oil exceeds a specified pressure, the transmission lubrication relief valve allows the oil to flow into the transmission sump.
Reference: See the Power Train Specifications, "Transmission Lubrication Relief Valve" for more information about the cracking pressure.
Reference: See the Power Train Specifications, "Relief Valve (Drain (Clutch 7))" for more information.
Transmission Main Relief Valve
Transmission main relief valve (8) is located to the left of the transmission control valve on the left side of the transmission case. Transmission main relief valve (8) controls the maximum pressure of the clutches that are engaged.
Reference: See the Power Train Specifications, "Relief Valve (Main Relief)" for more information.
Transmission control valve (9) is on the left side of the transmission case at the rear of the machine. Transmission control valve (9) provides oil flow at the correct pressure and at the proper time in order to engage the desired clutch packs. There are eight transmission control valves.
