Check the Fuel Priming Pump Wiring Harness Connectors On Certain C9.3B Engines {1258, 1408}

C9.3B (S/N: NGH1-UP; NGL1-UP)

Description Of Change: The fuel priming pump switch requires a 3 terminal connector. The current engine harness may have a 2 terminal connector for the manual fuel priming pump switch.

The fuel priming pump connector on the engine harness, will also need to be changed. The current 2 terminal connector for the pump must be changed to a different 2 terminal connector to mate with the pump as shipped.

Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Manual Priming Pump Switch

  1. Remove the current 2 terminal connector assembly and connector terminals for the manual priming pump switch from the engine harness.

  2. Install 2 new 9X-3402 Connector Socket terminals.

    Note: Only 2 of the terminal locations in the new 3 terminal connector for the switch will be used. The third location will be plugged.

  3. Install the new 3 terminal 155-2260 Connecting Plug Kit for the manual priming pump switch.

  4. Use a 8T-8737 Seal Plug to plug location 3 in the connector.

  5. Mate the pump connectors.

Fuel Priming Pump

  1. Remove the current 2 terminal connector assembly and connector terminals for the priming pump from the engine harness.

  2. Install 2 new 9X-3402 Connector Socket terminals.

  3. Install the new 155-2270 Connecting Plug Kit for the priming pump.

  4. Mate the pump connectors.
