Engine Trunnion - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

Guide Bolts M16 - 2 / 8 inch 

Start By:

  1. Remove the Guard (Engine Oil Pan).

  2. Remove the Damper.

  1. Remove two of bolts (1) that are marked as (X).

  2. Install Tooling (A). Remove remaining bolts (1) and the washers.

  3. Remove four bolts (2) and the washers.

  4. Remove bolts (4) and the washers. Remove pads (5).

  5. Attach a suitable lifting device on to trunnion (3). The weight of trunnion (3) is approximately 164 kg (362 lb).

  6. Slide engine trunnion (3) forward on Tooling (A).

  7. Remove trunnion (3) from the mount.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install trunnion (3) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 1125 ± 100 N.m (830 ± 74 lb ft).

    2. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 300 ± 4 N.m (221 ± 3 lb ft) by the numerical sequence as shown in illustration 4.
