Start By:

  1. Remove the cab

  2. Remove the counterweight

  3. Remove the hydraulic tank

  4. Remove the main hydraulic pump

  5. Remove the cooling package

  1. Remove clamp (1).

  2. Remove bolts (3) and pipe (2).

  3. Disconnect straps (4). Remove muffler (5).

  4. Remove hose (6) and air box (7).

  5. Disconnect fittings (8).

  6. Disconnect cable assembly (9) from the injector pump.

    Cut cable strap (10). Remove bracket (11) from the engine.

  7. Disconnect ground strap (12).

  8. Disconnect harness assembly (13) from the alternator and starter.

  9. Remove cable ties (14) to remove harness assembly (13).

  10. Disconnect harness assembly (15), remove cable ties (16), and disconnect harness assembly (17).

  11. Disconnect harness assemblies (18). Remove harness assembly (13).

  12. Disconnect hoses (19) and (20).

  13. Remove bolts (21) and the mounting pads.

  14. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of engine (22) is approximately 129 kg (285 lb). Remove engine (22).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install engine in the reverse order of removal.

  2. Tighten bolts on fittings (8) to a torque of 10 ± 2 N·m (89 ± 18 lb in).
