为防止停止行驶过程中行驶马达出现气穴，向行驶马达提供补偿油。
以下说明适用于左行驶马达的停止前进行驶操作。 右行驶马达的工作方式与左行驶马达相同。
停止行驶过程中，松开行驶操纵杆/踏板并移至空档位置。 泵 2 提供的机油在左行驶控制阀 (10) 上的油道 (9) 处被阻断，无法流向左行驶马达 (2)。
由于没有机油供应到左行驶马达，马达将尝试停止。 但是，由于机器的惯性，行驶马达将继续转动。 此动作将导致行驶电机的通道 (3) 中产生真空状态。
当行驶控制阀移至中间位置时，液压油箱中的回油被吸入管路 (8) 和左行驶控制阀。 此处的机油流经回转接头 (5)、单向阀 (4) 进入油道 (3)，作为补偿油流入马达旋转总成 (1)。 这些补充机油防止行驶马达在停止行驶的过程中产生气穴。
在向后行驶操作中，补偿油的供应方式与向前行驶操作相同。
