New Clutch Retraction Pins And Seals
Usage:
7271 Marine Transmissions
Description of Change: The ahead and astern clutch groups in 7271 Marine Transmissions use new clutch retraction pins and pin seals. The new pin has a full radius head that fits in the piston slot. The full radius head gives more contact area with the piston. This will increase the service life of the transmission at this location. The former pin had corners with chamfers.
The new seal has more resistance to heat and abrasion than the former seal.
Adaptable To: The new 6T2810 Pin and 3P647 Seal are direct replacements for the former 3N6186 Pin and 8M4437 Seal in 3N6195 and 3N6196 Clutch Groups.
The change was in effect on 7271 Marine Transmissions with Serial Number 36W330.
