Removal Procedure

1. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Coolant - Change" for the proper draining and filling procedures.

2. Remove tube assemblies (1).

3. Remove bolt (3) and the clip.

4. Disconnect harness assembly (4).

5. Remove bolts (5).

6. Remove the water temperature regulator housing (2).

7. Remove bolts (6) and remove housing (7).

8. Remove tube (9) and remove O-ring seals (8).

9. Remove and discard seal (11). Remove water temperature regulators (10).
   Show/hide table

10. Remove lip seals (12). Note the orientation of the lip seals for installation purposes.

Installation Procedure

1. Install water temperature regulator housing (2) in reverse order of removal.

   1. Apply Tooling (A) to the seal run surface of lip seals (12). Use Tooling (B) to install lip seals (12).

   2. Apply Tooling (A) O-ring seals (8) and tube assemblies (1).

   3. Tighten water temperature sensor (2) to a torque of 20 ± 3 N·m (177 ± 27 lb in).
