Engine Lifting Bracket - Remove and Install

  1. Remove bolt (2) from lifting bracket (1).

  2. Remove lifting bracket (1) from cylinder head (3).

  3. Clean the thread lock from bolt (2).

  4. Remove bolt (5) from lifting bracket (4).

  5. Remove lifting bracket (4) from cylinder head (3).

  6. Clean the thread lock from bolt (5).

  1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolt (5).

  2. Position lifting bracket (4) onto cylinder head (3). Refer to Illustration 3.

  3. Install bolt (5) finger tight to lifting bracket (4). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  4. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolt (2).

  5. Position lifting bracket (1) onto cylinder head (3). Refer to Illustration 4.

  6. Install bolt (2) finger tight to lifting bracket (1). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
