New Software Is Available Engines and New Coolant Pressure Sensor Are Used on Certain C32 Marine Engines {1920}

Usage:

C32 DSJ
Generator Set
C32 MARINE GS (S/N: DSJ1-UP; RTK1-UP)
Marine Engine
C32 MARINE (S/N: RSD1-UP; RPM1-UP; SDN1-UP)

Description Of Change: New software is used for the engines listed above. The new software contains the following improvements:

  • Corrections to the fuel maps

  • Corrections to the displayed fuel maps

  • Corrections to the oil pressure differential alarm set point (Optional Attachment for Duplex Oil Filters Only)

  • Corrections to the jacket water pressure sensor map (Optional Alarm & Protection Attachment Only), see below for the extra hardware required
A new coolant pressure sensor is used for engines built with the optional Alarm and Protection (A&P) attachment.

Adaptable To: The new software is a direct replacement for the older software. Table 1 contains the new and previous software part numbers.

(1) 416-6999 Pressure Sensor Gp (Coolant Pressure)
(2) 489-5173 Valve

The existing 183-4760 Pressure Sensor Gp (Coolant Pressure) will not display the high-pressure range. The new 416-6999 Pressure Sensor Gp (Coolant Pressure) requires the installation of the 216-8579 O-Ring Seal and 489-5173 Valve. The existing harness connection must be replaced with the 281-8804 Connector Plug As and two 283-0056 Connector Adapters to connect to the new coolant pressure sensor group. Refer to the engine schematic in SIS Web for the correct pin location within the 281-8804 Connector Plug As.

Note: The use of this sensor also requires the engine be flashed with one of the files listed above or newer.

The new sensor is adaptable to first production of the serial numbers above. The new sensor is effective from the factory on the engine serial numbers listed in Table 3. Engines built between the effective serial numbers listed in Table 2 and Table 3 have the new sensor installed and all the software improvements listed above excluding the corrections to the oil pressure differential alarm set point (Optional Attachment for Duplex Oil Filters Only).
