Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect sensor (1).

2. Remove clamp (3) and pipe assembly (2).

3. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and harness assemblies (5).

4. Remove sensor (7) and clamp (9).

5. Attach a suitable lifting device to catalyst assembly (8). The weight of catalyst assembly (8) is 51 kg (112 lb).

6. Disconnect straps (6) and remove catalyst assembly (8).

7. Remove shield (10), shield (12), clamp (11), and pipe assembly (13).

8. Remove bolts (14), bolts (18), tube assembly (16), tube assembly (17), and bracket assembly (15).
   Show/hide table

9. Attach a suitable lifting device to diesel particulate filter assembly (19). Diesel particulate filter assembly (19) weighs approximately 67 kg (148 lb).

10. Disconnect straps (20), remove clamp assembly (21), and diesel particulate filter (19).

11. Disconnect hose assembly (22), hose assembly (25), hose assembly (30), sensor (23), tube assembly (28), harness assembly (24), and harness assembly 26.

12. Remove bolts (29) and disconnect tube assembly (27).

13. Remove clamp (31), clamps (34) and hose (36).

14. Disconnect tube assemblies (35), tube assembly (37), and harness assembly (38).

15. Attach a suitable lifting device to support assembly (33). Support assembly (33) weighs approximately 139 kg (307 lb).

16. Remove eight bolts (32) support assembly (35).

Installation Procedure

1. Install support assembly (24) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten straps (6) and straps (20) to a torque of 15 ± 3 N·m (133 ± 27 lb in).

   2. Tighten sensor (7) and sensor (23) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).

   3. Tighten clamp (9), clamp (11), clamp (21), and clamp (31) to a torque of 35 ± 2 N·m (26 ± 1 lb ft).
