Timer Rework for Overhead Lights in XQ2000 {1429}

Usage:

PM3516 NBR
Power Module:
PM3516 (S/N: NBR1-UP)

Description of Change: The new auxiliary relay provides more resistance to fatigue and a longer service life.

Adaptable To: The timer contact were found to be marginal when powering six 9X-1439 Flood Lamps. Eventually the timer will fail because timer is being operated above the rated current limit.

The new auxiliary relay is adaptable to the above engines back to first production.

The required parts for installation are listed in Table 1.

Rework Procedure

  1. Open the weather box located above the ceiling and the one closes to the DC timer.

  1. Drill a 28.3 mm (1.115 inch) in diameter hole for a 3/4" conduit connector as shown in Illustration 1.

  1. Install the 470-4765 Relay as shown in Illustration 2.

  1. Connect the wires per schematic in Illustration 3

  1. Cut and stow excess unused wires as shown in Illustration 4.

  1. Test the circuit by turning on the DC timer

  1. Close the weather box as shown in Illustration 5.

  1. Installation is complete.
