Parts and Specification Information

No new parts are required for this procedure. The steering lines are already installed on the machine, but require routing and connecting.

Installation Procedure

  1. Go to the area under the front, right corner of the cab where plate (B) is located.

  2. Locate the 461-6690 Hose As that is bundled near front support assembly (A). Remove cap (C). Discard the cap.

  3. Assemble 461-6690 Hose As (D) to the port. Remove cap (E). Discard the cap.

  4. Locate the 461-6689 Hose As that is bundled near front support assembly (A).

  5. Assemble 461-6689 Hose As (F) to the port. Remove cap (G). Discard the cap.

  6. Locate the 461-6688 Hose As that is bundled near front support assembly (A).

  7. Assemble 461-6688 Hose As (H) to the port. Remove cap (J). Discard the cap.

  8. Locate the 461-6691 Hose As that is bundled near front support assembly (A).

  9. Assemble 461-6691 Hose As (L) to the port. Remove cap (K). Discard the cap.

  10. Locate the 461-6687 Hose As that is bundled near front support assembly (A).

  11. Assemble 461-6687 Hose As (M) to the port. Remove cap (N). Discard the cap.

  12. Locate the 465-3652 Hose As that is bundled near front support assembly (A). Assemble 465-3652 Hose As (P) to the port.

  13. Caps on the front axle steering cylinders, and plugs in two hoses from the steering valve group must be removed. Remove the two caps (R) from the front axle steering cylinders.

  14. Remove the plugs in hose assembly (S), and hose assembly (T). Both hose assemblies connect to the steering valve group. Hose assembly (S) connects to port "CR" on the bottom of the steering valve group. The other end of hose assembly (S) connects to the lower port on the front steering cylinders. Hose assembly (T) connects to port "CL" on the bottom of the steering valve group. The other end of hose assembly (T) connects to the upper port on the front steering cylinders.

  15. Connection must be made at the back, right corner of the cab. Remove cap (U).

  16. Remove the plug from the end of 461-6694 Hose As (V). Connect hose assembly (V) to the port uncovered in the previous step.
