Fuel Pressure Sensor - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Contact with high pressure fuel may cause personal injury or death. Wait 60 seconds after the engine has stopped to allow fuel pressure to purge before any service or repair is performed on the engine fuel lines.

Contact with high pressure fuel may cause fluid penetration and burn hazards. High pressure fuel spray may cause a fire hazard. Failure to follow these inspection, maintenance and service instructions may cause personal injury or death.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (1).

    Note: If necessary remove the drip tray.

  2. Remove fuel pressure post filter sensor (2) and fuel pressure prefilter sensor (3).

  3. Disconnect harness assembly (5).

  4. Remove fuel pressure post filter sensor (4).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install fuel pressure post filter sensor (4), fuel pressure prefilter sensor (3), and fuel pressure post filter sensor (2) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten fuel pressure post filter sensor (4), fuel pressure prefilter sensor (3), and fuel pressure post filter sensor (2) to a torque of 10 ± 2 N·m (86 ± 18 lb in).
