Engine News SEBD9972, 12 December 2014, "A New Bracket Is Used to Mount the Boost Pressure Sensor on Certain Marine 3500C Engines ". The original article has been revised to update the effective serial numbers.

Description of Change: A new and improved bracket relocates the boost pressure sensor to the bottom of the thermostat housing to avoid trapped condensation.

Adaptable To: The new 458-9894 Bracket is a direct replacement for the present bracket. The new 458-9894 Bracket is adaptable back to the first production of the listed engines.

Refer to Table 1 for a list of parts required to install the new 458-9894 Bracket
