The unit is equipped with two radiator fans with electric motors for the fan drives. Each motor has two grease fittings that require service, one for each bearing. Do not mix different types of grease. If the engine is operated in severe conditions, more frequent lubrication of the bearings may be necessary. The following examples are considered to be severe conditions: hot environments, dirty environments and humid environments.
Stop the generator set. Use a Cat® 8F-9866 Grease Gun or equivalent grease gun to grease the fan motor.
Use only the grease recommended in this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fluid Recommendations". Use
