Starting the Engine

Usage:

The levers for manual starting are located under the junction box on the left side of the engine.

Note: The control switch on the junction box must be in the MANUAL position in ordertomanually start the engine.

Pull and hold one of the two manual start levers until the engine starts or for a cranking period of approximately 15 seconds. If the engine fails to start, wait for 15 seconds. Repeat the cycle using the alternate manual start lever.

After engine start, open raw water valve loop. Refer to Illustration 2.


NOTICE

The raw water supply must be immediately available when the engine is started. Ensure that the supply line valves are in the emergency OPEN position.


When in manual mode, the raw water solenoid will not be powered and the valves on the emergency bypass line must be manually opened.
