The utility bus bars are located on the far left side of the SIO cabinet. The utility bus bars provide utility cable connections, primarily for input and output. The 4-wire neutral bus is optional.

Removal

  1. Refer to Systems Operation, Test and Adjust, UENR4695, "Internal Component Pre-Removal Steps". Perform the internal component pre-removal procedure to shut down the system and to gain access to internal components.

    The SIO cabinet must be de-energized before removal steps can be performed.

    Note: The contactors are heavy. Exercise caution when removing the last bolt so the contactor does not fall and damage components or personnel.

  2. Remove the 3/4 inch bolts for the input cables.

  3. Remove the 7/16 inch bolts used for the EMI board.

  4. Remove the 3/8 inch bolt used for the voltage input power cable.

  5. Remove the four 5/8 inch bolts used to mount the bus bars to the standoff insulators.

  6. Remove bus bars from cabinet.

Installation

  1. Position the bus bars in the cabinet.

  2. Install the bus bars to the standoff insulators. Use the four 5/8 inch bolts.

  3. Install the voltage input power cable. Use the 3/8 inch bolt.

  4. Install the EMI board. Use the 7/16 inch bolts.

  5. Install the input cables. Use the 3/4 inch bolts.
