AC Filter Capacitor Bank

The AC filter capacitor bank is combined with a filter. The filter consists of inductors and capacitors to create an "LC" filter. The filter is located behind the left door panel on the SIO cabinet, next to the electromagnetic interface (EMI) board. The capacitor bank is made up of three sets of capacitors, one for each phase. The LC filter converts the output sine wave from the utility inverter into a low total harmonic distortion sine wave.

Removal

1. Disconnect all AC filter L2-A1 leads from phase-A bus.

2. Disconnect all AC filter L2-B1 leads from phase-B bus.

3. Disconnect all AC filter L2-C1 leads from phase-C bus.

4. Disconnect all AC filter neutral leads from neutral bus.

5. Remove the three 3/8 inch bolt that connects the filter assembly to SIO cabinet.

6. Remove the phase-A filter assembly from the SIO cabinet.

7. Remove the phase-B filter assembly from the SIO cabinet.

8. Remove the phase-C filter assembly from the SIO cabinet.

Installation

1. Install the phase C filter assembly into SIO cabinet. Secure in place with a 3/8 inch bolt.

2. Install the phase B filter assembly into SIO cabinet. Secure in place with a 3/8 inch bolt.

3. Install the phase A filter assembly into SIO cabinet. Secure in place with a 3/8 inch bolt.

4. Connect the neutral lead from each filter assembly to the neutral bus.

5. Connect all AC filter L2-A1 leads to phase-A bus.

6. Connect all AC filter L2-B1 leads to phase-B bus.

7. Connect all AC filter L2-C1 leads to phase-C bus.
