Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over disconnected fuel system component. |

Use a suitable container to catch any fuel that might spill. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately. |
Bowls (1) should be monitored daily for signs of water. If water is present, drain the water from the bowls.
- Open the drains (2). Catch the draining water in a suitable container. Dispose of the water properly.
- Close the drains (1).

The water separator is under suction during normal engine operation. Ensure that the drain valve is tightened securely to help prevent air from entering the fuel system. |
