Alternator - Inspect
Caterpillar rekomandon një inspektim të planifikuar të alternatorit. Inspektoni alternatorin për lidhje të lira dhe ndërrimin e saktë të baterisë. Inspektoni ampermetrin (nëse ka) gjatë përdorimit të motorit, për të siguruar performancën e duhur të baterisë dhe/ose të sistemit elektrik. Kryeni riparime sipas nevojës. Referojuni Manualit të shërbimit.
Kontrolloni alternatorin dhe ngarkuesin e baterisë për përdorimin e duhur. Nëse bateritë janë ngarkuar siç duhur, leximi i ampermetrit duhet të jetë shumë pranë zeros. Të gjitha bateritë duhet të rrinë të ngarkuara. Bateritë duhet të mbahen të ngrohta, sepse temperatura ndikon te rryma e ndezjes. Nëse bateria është shumë e ftohtë, ajo nuk do ta ndezë motorin. Bateria nuk do ta ndezë motorin edhe nëse motori është i ngrohtë. Kur motori nuk përdoret për periudha të gjata kohore ose nëse motori përdoret për periudha të shkurtra, bateritë mund të mos ngarkohen plotësisht. Bateria me ngarkesë të ulët ngrin më lehtë sesa bateria me ngarkesë të plotë.
