New Software and Low Pressure Fuel System Are Used in Certain C175 Engines {1250, 1901, 1902}

Description of Change: The new software combined with the new low-pressure fuel system helps improve starting times for standby applications. The software automatically runs the fuel priming pump for 1 minute each day to ensure that the fuel system is primed. This feature is automatically enabled upon installation of the new software and may not be disabled at any time.

The new software also allows for the EMCP to display the total fuel values from the engine ECM .The new low-pressure fuel system prevents fuel circulation through the transfer pump.

438-7212 Check Valve

The new 438-7212 Check Valve is installed on the fuel transfer pump outlet.

The part numbers that are required for the change are located in Table 1. The software part numbers are located in Table 3 and Table 4. The effective serial numbers are in Table 2.

The installation procedure for the new parts is located below the tables.

Install check valve (13) with o-ring seal (3) into the fuel transfer pump outlet. Install swivel tee (16) with two o-ring seals (3) onto the check valve. Install plug (1) with o-ring seal (6) into the side of the fuel transfer pump.

Install hose assembly (15) from the fuel transfer pump to the secondary filter inlet.
Note: Make sure that the swivel tee is parallel to the plug as shown in Illustration 2.

Install plug (9) with o-ring seal (5) into the front of fuel manifold (12). Install plug (8) with o-ring seal (4) into the bottom of the fuel manifold.

Note: This step is for 16 cylinder engines only.

Install hose assembly (14) from the priming pump outlet to the fuel transfer pump outlet. Use clips (17) and (18) with grommet (11) to secure the line.

Note: This step is for 20 cylinder engines only.
