Fan - Remove and Install

Usage:

C13 CE3

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the fan guard.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect".

  2. Remove bolts (2). Remove fan (2) and plate clamp (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install fan (1) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Dimension (X) is the clearance between the fan blade and the fan shroud assembly. Dimension (X) is 14 mm (0.55118 inch) or greater. Check the clearance at each fan blade.

    2. To adjust the clearance between the fan blade and the fan shroud assembly. Loosen bolts (5) and move radiator and aftercooler assembly (4) until clearance is obtained.
