If there is an oil leak at the rear camshaft cover, the probable source of the leak is cover mounting bolt hole (1) which intersects a camshaft bore passage in the spacer assembly. The non-pressurized oil may leak past the bolt threads to the outside of the engine.
Use the procedure that follows to repair oil leaks and to prevent oil leaks during normal camshaft cover installation.
1. Remove the rear camshaft cover from the spacer assembly.
2. Use 8T9011 Component Cleaner to thoroughly clean the threads on the three camshaft cover mounting bolts and in bolt holes (1) and (2) in the spacer assembly. Allow to dry.

3. Apply 6V1541 Quick Cure Primer to the threads on the bolts and in the bolt holes in the spacer assembly. Allow the primer to dry.
4. Put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the three bolts. Install the rear camshaft cover with the three bolts.
