Description of Change: A new stronger push rod assembly is used to actuate the exhaust valves. Formerly, both the intake and exhaust valve push rods were the same. The new push rod assembly has a larger diameter than the push rod it replaces, but a smaller diameter than the fuel injector push rod. The new stronger exhaust valve push rod assembly is used to overcome the higher loads that can sometimes occur with exhaust valves.

Adaptable To: The new 4P4324 Exhaust Valve Push Rod Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 7E4199 Push Rod used to actuate the exhaust valves. The 7E4199 Push Rod continues to be used as the intake valve push rod. If a 7E4199 Push Rod is damaged, in either the intake or exhaust valve actuation application, replace it with the new 4P4324 Push Rod Assembly.
