Turbocharger - Inspect
Use the following procedures in order to inspect the turbocharger and related components are functioning correctly.

- Inspect the bolted join locations for exhaust gas leaks.
- If exhaust gas leaks are present, tighten the bolts that secure the components, or replace gaskets (2).

Illustration 2 g03343379 - Inspect inlet hose (3) of the compressor housing (5) for air leakage.
- Inspect the suction side of the inlet hose for loose connections or cracks.
- If air leakage is present, change clamp (4), or the inlet hose.

Illustration 3 g02918097 - Check the radial clearance of the compressor wheel and turbine wheel of the turbocharger. Replace the turbocharger assembly if the compressor wheel or turbine wheel contact the housing.
