Description of Change: An alternative thermostat can be used on 3500 Marine Engines. The thermostat ensures an improvement in a lower jacket water temperature at rated speed.
Adaptable To: The improved 4W-4011 Temperature Regulator is a direct replacement for the existing 248-5513 Temperature Regulator. The new thermostat is adaptable back to the first production on the serial numbers listed above. Refer to Table 1 for a list of effective serial numbers.
