Change Routing Of Heater Return Hose To Improve Heater Efficiency

Usage:

3176 Truck Engines

Incorrect routing of heater hoses has led to complaints of insufficient cab heat. To correct this problem, reroute the heater return hose to the inlet side of the water pump. Remove the 2B0858 Plug and connect the hose at this location. See illustration. If this port in the water pump is already in use, tee into the engine shunt or water inlet line. Do not connect the heater return hose to the thermostat housing.
