Air Vent Line Improves Cooling System Performance

Usage:

3176 Truck Engines

When the cooling system for 3176 Truck Engines is initially filled, air can get trapped in the system. This air should be bled off for best cooling system performance. To remove this air a 6.35 mm (.25") air vent line is recommended. The vent line should be installed between the top tank of the radiator and coolant outlet manifold, upstream of the water temperature regulator. See the illustration.

Location to install air vent line in outlet manifold.
